Welcome to Miss Katrinak's Fourth Grade Class!
Hello! My name is Miss Katrinak and I am a third grade teacher at Edgemere Elementary School. This is my seventh year at Edgemere. I am a proud graduate of Loyola University Maryland where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Go Greyhounds! I am currently working towards a Master's Degree in Reading Education at Towson University.
When I am not planning and teaching lessons, I love spending time with my family and friends.

My goal is to create a safe and enjoyable learning environment for all of my students. In my classroom, we share respect for each other and work hard to reach our fullest potential. Students are encouraged to be excited about their interests, to become risk takers, and to develop a positive mindset towards learning. I am looking forward to building strong relationships with my students and their families. We are going to have an awesome year together!

We will start each day with a morning meeting called Brain Smart Start.
During this time, students will:
-share information about important events happening in their lives
-set personal and class goals for the week
-develop effective social skills
-build a strong sense of community with their classmates
Our morning meetings will help us grow as a class family!
